Advocacy, Lobbying and Media Outreach

                    i.            Continuous lobbying on behalf of consultants in water and energy sector mainly in AEPC.

                  ii.            "Perspective and Issues of Micro/Mini Hydro Consultants' for the Sustainable Growth of Micro Mini Hydro Sector" was presented in AEPC

                iii.            Presentation in "Launching Program of Regional Centre of Excellence of Micro Hydro (RCEMH) in Nepal" organized by SARI/Energy in Kathmandu

                iv.            Participated in Youth Solidarity Festival, Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel

                  v.            Presentation in "Regional Workshop on Mini/Micro Hydropower Development: Prospects and Challenges in South Asian Countries", Kathmandu

                vi.            Interaction and active participation in the formulation of NRREP

Institutional Development

                    i.            The First General Meeting elected 11-member Executive Committee under the Chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Ramesh Kumar Maskey

                  ii.            Third General Meeting elected a new Executive Committee was elected under the Chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Ramesh Kumar Maskey

                iii.            Strategic Planning Meeting held in 2068

Trainings and Worshops

                    i.            One day workshop organized in "Opportunities and Challenges in Micro/Mini Hydro Sector", Kathmandu (2067).

                  ii.            5-day Training on “Strengthening the Technical Knowledge of REWSSPC in RETS” organized in cooperation with SNV in Kathmandu (2067).  

                iii.            Training in Survey and Design of Micro Hydropower started for Final Year Students of Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus, Lalitpur (2067)

                iv.            Capacity Development Program of Stakeholders working in Micro/Mini Hydro Sector organized in Rukum district (2068)

                  v.            7-day Training on “Survey and Design of Micro Hydropower Projects" conducted to AEPC Prequalified Consultants/ Regional Area Centre Engineers, Kathmandu (2068). 

                vi.            National Seminar on "Cooperatives in Mini/Small Hydropower Development: Opportunities & Challenges" organized in Cooperation with Nepal Electric Central Cooperative Association Limited (NECCAL), Kathmandu (2069).

WECAN Lifetime Achievement Award

                    i.            Annual WECAN Lifetime Achievement Award was initiated in 2011 for dedicated distinguished personalities contributing to the advancement of water and energy sector. WECAN conferred the award to the following personalities till date.
